My second book, Conversations with Eljo, is more personal than Walk in the Flames of Revenge and relates the story of my cross-country move from Florida to Oregon in the summer of 2004. Below is the back-cover text as it appears on the book.
In the summer of 2004, I moved from the Gulf Coast of Florida to the Willamette Valley of Oregon. My traveling companion on this cross-country trip was a small stuffed gorilla named Eljo. The trip was the start of a new life but the continuation of a journey begun years earlier, a journey both physical and spiritual. Filled with highs and lows, comedy and tragedy, Conversations with Eljo is, in its simplest form, a chronicle of six days spent on the road. But in its highs and lows it reflects on the much longer journey each of us lives on a daily basis. I made it to my destination, and yet the journey continues on...
